Some compound words (like bus rapid transit, dog whistle, or identity theft) don’t appear on the drop-down list when you type them in the search bar. For best results with compound words, place a quotation mark before the compound word in the search window.

A Croatian unit of currency equal to ¹₁₀₀ of the kuna.

[Serbo-Croatian lipa, linden, lipa (so called from the linden leaves and flowers depicted on the obverse of lipa-denominated coins, the linden tree being a symbol of Slavic identity); akin to Czech, Polish, and Russian, lipa and Latvian and Lithuanian liepa, linden; see leip- in the Appendix of Indo-European roots.]
