Len·non (lĕnən), John 1940-1980.
British musician and composer who was a member of the Beatles. With Paul McCartney he wrote many of the group's songs, including "I Want to Hold Your Hand" (1963), "Ticket to Ride" (1965), and "A Day in the Life" (1967).
